Additional Excess Issue

This complaint refers to the following additional excess on the claim C961567:

Your additional excess clause: "Single vehicle accident (including driving into an unoccupied vehicle): R2000

Please note the following issues I have with this:

1.) The excess was only added to the renewal policy and not the original policy agreement. Is an excess change even allowed without any communication? I understand an excess change if there were prior claims, but this is the first claim we are submitting.

2.) What is your definition of a vehicle? Nowhere on your policy schedules, website, terms and conditions to you refer to what a VEHICLE is. A bicycle (Oxford definition: A VEHICLE consisting of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, propelled by pedals and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel.) drove into the car (Oxford definition: A road VEHICLE, typically with four wheels, powered by an internal combustion engine and able to carry a small number of people.)

SO ACCORDING TO ME AND THE OXFORD DEFINITION OF A VEHICLE...2 VEHICLES WAS INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT. THAT MEANS THE ADDITIONAL EXCESS SHOULD NOT APPLY.
