A very disappointed client

Well done to the teams at Miway that assist with roadside emergencies. I have written a review before to share my experience. However experience is a sure teacher. Driving for more than 10 years and claim free I must add made me think that everyone at Miway is efficient at their jobs. I had my first ever accident in November last year and that too my car was hit by a taxi. I followed all the protocols and sent the photos with all the info to insurance. At first it was that they did not receive the photos, then I re- sent them. Then they were waiting for feedback from the assessor. Then they come back saying the claim is denied. Then I reopen the claim and re- send pictures and details and then there is the long wait again for the assessor to provide feedback. Then the claims handler is gone on leave and then there's even more waiting. They have no ethic of responding to emails timeously. They call but not at the times you are available and then make that your problem. They have never come out and done an assessment of my car neither have they asked me to take the car anywhere for an assessment. They have never provided me with an assessment report to date. I have tried logging a dispute and this was after engaging with the claims supervisor. I took it upon myself to take my vehicle to a panel beater for a quote. Once received I forwarded that to insurance. Now they come back with they cannot pay for all thats on the quote as it's not related to the accident and yet my car has never been involved in any other accident. Then it's a story of the panel beater I chose is not on their list of approved service providers. In the same instance they inform me that they cannot pay for the original parts as my car is out of warranty. It's been 7 months of back and forth and still my vehicle is not sorted out. Yet they have been deducting a premium from me for a service that they are not providing. The claims handler, his supervisor and the person handling the dispute have all failed me as a client. I have requested the assessors details several times with no response. I have requested for an assessment of my vehicle and still no response. I'm not sure if all clients are treated this way of just the female first time claimants. Disappointed client.
