A true South African business: Hustlers Edition

It's been a year seen I've made my claim with MiWay on the car insurance policy I've taken out with them. Genuinely, I was too worked up with how terribly they hustled me that I hadn't made a review of how I was treated. My Polo Vivo 1.4 was written off in September of 2021 due to another driver's fault, and I had followed all the correct procedures to making my claim valid. Upon receiving the settlement of my claim, I saw that they did not send me the Market Value my car was worth. Looking back at my contract with them, it clearly, and in bold states it was insured for its "Market Value". This resulted in me receiving R 7 800 less than I was supposed to. Their stance remained that I was not insured for the Market Value of my car, despite my contract clearly stating otherwise. After my car had been written-off and my contract cancelled, they continued to bill me for two months as if their was still something to insure. This took a lot of leg-work to sort out and I don't wish this stress even upon my enemies. This is a hustler of a company that will sc**** what little they can from you because they know you aren't big enough, or have money enough to fight them. Complete corporate bullies that hide behind a **** veil of providing South Africans a "cheaper, yet better" alternative. I challenge MiWay to right their wrongs. It may be a year later, but I am still sore about this.

I did not accept your apologies before, and do not now. You have essentially committed theft. I do understand how long it's been since this event has taken place, but that does not excuse the fact that you've gotten away with it, or that you "feel" sorry for my inconvenience. My inconvenience resulted in me not being able to buy another car still to this day. If you truly felt that your intention was to "exceed" my "service expectations", then I will expect a payment of R 7 800.00 into my account.
