17 weeks and a lot of tantrums to finalize claim!

MiWay has good reviews here, because they ask to rate their service when they actually do something (like bribing you to stay with them by lowering your premium).

Dont expect them to be there when you need them! R50 000 claim = did not even pay out HALF!

We had a storm in April on the coast and my repairs will only start in 3 weeks. My wall fell down, my pool pipes are leaking, my pavement lifted and my soakpit fell in. Miway took a month to send out an assessor, I had to temporarily (woman alone) fix my fence for safety (got reimbursed after a tantrum) another 3 weeks for an engineer to assess, another 3 weeks for his report on water levels, another 2 weeks for new quotes, and now another 3 weeks for repairs. My neighbours are already done with ALL their repairs 2 weeks ago, including a retaining wall and are left in a BETTER place than before the storm, while I'm still fighting for peanuts! Ended up taking the payout just to never speak to them again and have repairs done tomorrow! (Same people that they can only get here in 3 weeks!)

Miway is not YOURway! And you will be made out to be the nasty one for complaining! Miway = 17 weeks to START repairs Neighbours repairs = DONE in less than 12 weeks!
