10 Years without claiming, assigned panel beater is 1100km away, threatened that they can write off my vehicle if I Insist on using Manufacturer approved repairer.

I have had all my vehicle insurance with Miway since 2012. Seems that i have made the incorrect choice for the last 10 years. This is my first claim ever, so they have surely made their money off me.

Minor cosmetic vehicle damages due to an object that fell of a truck that hit me on the N1 motorway on my way to the North west province.

I live in Durbanville, and MiWay's chosen panel beater is 1100km away from my residence in Vryburg

Upon phoning to clarify this issue, I have had the rudest encounter with a MiWay representative. I got the standard, due to my vehicle not being under warrantee MiWay reserves the right to send me to whomsoever they choose.

1) they refuse to use a Manufacturer approved panel beater.

2) upon insisting that I want a manufacturer approved panel beater, i was essentially told (Passively Threatened) that MiWay holds the right to write off my vehicle if I keep insisting. (Note this is for Thumb suck R10k worth of cosmetic damage's to the front panels with no structural damage whatsoever on a R250k valued asset. .
