Monopolistic Marketing

It is with the utmost disgust I write this complaint about Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi has a tendency of selling motor vehicles with tyres that cannot be purchased anywhere in the country. I need to replace 2 tyres on my 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander (Dunlop SP Sport 5000 225 X 55 R18). I have made numerous call to tyre dealers and none of them have it in stock or are unable to resource it.

Hence I called Dunlop SA head office and the lady advised me as well they do not have stock. There's ONLY 4 tyres being shipped to SA, however Dunlop SA is unable to sell them to me as they do not deal with private individuals.

My vehicle is at risk because Mitsubishi SA is unable to assist in resourcing the tyres for a vehicle they market in our country whereby there's no stock.

I would like to urge our regulators to ensure that motor vehicle manufacturers that sell their products in our country conform to a minimum standard of having necessary spares available.
