Mitshibushi Pajero Support

I bought my second Pajero after very good experience from my first one. It was such a robust and good vehicle.

In 2018 I bought my second one LWB Exceed . What a nice vehicle.

BUT....

Until about a month ago, the support strut for the back door broke. I opened it in a strong wind and it just bend and then broke the strut. I know form previous experience that you have to unlock before closing the door.

However, at close inspection, it appears that the mechanism where it folds, is made of a substandard material (it look like simple cast iron). I would expect that because it has to endure some amount of abu*****t over it's lifetime, that it would have been manufactured of some better material.

I have taken that up with the dealer and they with Mitshibushi SA and I was given a cold shoulder. This really left a sour taste in my mouth from an otherwise superb vehicle.
