Please dont support bad behaviour!

We have been trying to get fibre into our unit in our complex... MITSOL who seems to have the monopoly in our street, will not allow any other provider to use one of these lines - eg., Telkom, Vox, MWeb etc..... they want us to sign a 5 YEAR CONTRACT for our complext in its entirity??? Now I am sure they cannot hold us to randsom while the entire world moves onto fibre products? Could someone confirm this for me? The house in a street directly opposite us has MITSOL signed a 12 month contract, so can someone explain this to me please? Their behaviour is disgraceful and unprofessional, a gent in a big white bakkie arrives, slaps a contract on the bonnet of his car and says " before we go further you have to sign this!" - actually, no I dont! (it was a 5yr contract) so and as a matter of principal, they can stick their fibre, I will make waves until another provider can come into this area of ours. I am very very sure this monopoly is ******* in SA - and disgusted with this behaviour
