BEWARE! MY EXPERIENCE WITH RUBIN OF MISPHA COMPLIANT SOLUTIONS

I chose to support a local business—Rubin operates right here in Mitchell’s Plain, as do I. A recommendation from one of his satisfied clients gave me further confidence to proceed. Rubin is quite the talker—charming, perhaps too much so. Nonetheless, we agreed on terms and payment was made.

That’s when things began to unravel. Delays surfaced early: materials were unavailable, workers didn’t show up. Eventually, construction of the vibracrete boundary wall commenced. Halfway through, I inspected the site and immediately noticed the wall was not aligned properly. I brought this to Rubin’s attention and the wall had to be redone—causing further delays.

Though the wall was eventually completed, its workmanship was substandard, a reflection of poor management. Rubin was stretched thin across multiple sites and it showed.

Then came the 3x9 structure. Issues with suppliers led to the need for a new arrangement, which I agreed to—and paid in full. The poles were planted and the first rows of vibracrete installed. Then, progress stopped.

At this point, the evasiveness began. Rubin made promises, offered apologies, arranged meetings... and simply never followed through. After much back and forth, we finally agreed to part ways and that my money would be refunded. I provided my account details and waited in good faith. Weeks passed—still no payment.

And then came the most disheartening act: Rubin began deleting messages from our chat history—a clear attempt to erase accountability. What began as a trust-based partnership deteriorated into dishonesty and financial exploitation.

I acknowledge he may have completed solid work for others. I only wish I could say the same.
