Company not standing up for me as their client

I became a customer of Mirrin in April 2015 as a short term insurance customer underwritten by Zurich Insurance Company. When I had a claim in June for an accident where my daughter was involved, the claim was repudiated by Zurich, based on a clause in the contract about non-disclosure of information. Upon further investigation, I found that I misunderstood the requirements during the sign-on with Mirrin of what I had to declare in terms of previous claims. I was not withholding information on purpose, but was lead by the agent. I explained this to the Mirrin as well as made Contact with Zurich Insurance Company directly. I tried my best explaining the unintended misunderstanding, pleading with them to understand what happened. I was just passed the notes from Zurich, and never felt like I was understood as their customer and what really happened. My policy was also cancelled from Zurich's side. This is sad. I have been an insurance client for more than 30 years with various companies, and never had this uncaring approach before. I had a stint of bad luck, but now I am marked as a bad customer. What initially looked like a great company, turned out to be spineless.
