Poor quality product followed by poor service and a poor excuse.

<p>It all started back in December 2016 when we decided to fit 4 x new tyres for our Fortuner at Minty's Tyres Vereeniging.</p> <p> </p> <p>Seeing that Dunlop is a fairly popular brand we fitted Dunlops.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have to add: I drive the Fortuner to work and back, which is about 20km per day.</p> <p> </p> <p>A month and maybe at most 1000km later one of the tyres had this long bubble on the side, not even close to the bottom where you would think a pothole might have been the cause, NO, in the middle of the tyre.</p> <p> </p> <p>So we went back, waited hours for the witty staff to take the "damaged" tyre off to sent it to Dunlop.</p> <p> </p> <p>It took about 2 months and 100 phonecalls to finally get an answer from Minty's that we have to contact Dunlop directly as it's their product.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now correct me if I'm wrong, i purchased the product from Minty's which makes me THEIR client, right?? Me banking at Nedbank is not making Nedbank their client...</p> <p> </p> <p>Eventually we received an answer, the tyre will not be refunded or replaced as it's a "Side Wall Impact"... Now the men out there, and even ladies will know that a Fortuner has quite a big tyre... How in the world will it get damaged like that without someone actually driving right into the side of my car damaging the body as well??</p> <p> </p> <p>Ok so now, another month later.... Still don't even have my old damaged tyre back.</p> <p> </p> <p>And there... ANOTHER tyre starts doing exactly the same... </p> <p> </p> <p>I phoned Mintys, spoke to the manager there. He informed me that it is our's and Dunlops problem as it is not his product, it's Dunlops. </p> <p> </p> <p>Oh, and get this, he said i must bring that tyre as well and they will take it off and send to Dunlop. Seeing that i am already using my spare wheel due to the first damaged tyre not received back, i do wonder how my car will drive with only 3 wheels????????</p>
