Late, Rude and Absolutely Shocking!

We had phoned mini movers Durban North to advise on items that needed to be moved from Glenashley Durban North - Salt Rock Ballito for my daughter, As well as pricing on the 31st August 2017.

They advised (Vanessa) They could help us on Monday the 4th September 2017 between 12:00 - 2:00pm. We stated that this would be perfect due to the fact that the Estate in salt rock delivery time closes at 17:00pm. I had also discussed payment with Vanessa, Advising that I will be making an EFT transfer which to she advised was 100%. On their information notes it states that EFT is accepted.

A gentleman by the name of Jono had called me and advised that they would be sooner due to that they only had 1 client before us who was in the same area.

My daughter e mailed the above on Saturday the 02nd September to ensure all was in order for Monday the 4th. Listing the big items e.g. The fridge, Washing Machine, Couch and bed, Please note that Vanessa was also advised of 3 boxes which would need to be taken with prior telephonically.

On Monday the 4th at 1:15pm the gentleman Jono called me and advised he was running late but he would be by us before 3:00pm. 3:00pm came 3:30pm came and still no sign or answer from Jono to which I called Vanessa nearly every hour on updates as the Estate is not going to allow movers in after 5pm, Vanessa kept advising that they were on their way or 5minutes and my daughter cannot sit without a bed at the least!

By 4:00pm roughly they arrived at Glenashley, Durban to fetch the furniture and boxes. I was advised that they refused to take the boxes or the duvet cover which they would have to charge extra even though they were advised of this! While discussing this with Vanessa a man took the phone stated that he was the owner and if we wanted anything extra we would need to pay. This was now at 5:45 pm then he stated he. Enter have his cash upfront or he is withholding our property.

I advised him I was going to Durban North to fetch the boxes ourselves due to their lack of work ethic. He was very very rude and abrupt and shouting if we were not at the Estate when he got here he would charge another R400 extra stating he is the boss and he can do as he pleases.

After that whole scenario, We called numerous times again asking where the truck was after I went and drew the cash to pay as now I had no choice as I couldn't leave my daughter without a bed at least! To which they kept saying they were on their way. They stated in their contract "That please note" I NEVER RECEIVED, They can be late.

At 7:45pm the furniture arrived as we begged security to allow them in. Now from day 2pm as I was advised 12-2pm to arrive at 7:45pm which probably would of been tolerated would it of been handled professionally. The driver also advised me that the owner had told him not offload or release our property without cash.

I have my own business and I do not operate in such disgusting, distasteful, classless behavior with my clients. I am shocked to say the least at mini movers Durban North and STRONGLY do not recommend them to anyone!!!!
