Absolutely SHOCKING!!!

Myself and my husband are relocating to Cape Town in January 2017. I looked for a removal company to do our move for us and came across Mini Maxi Removals in Ramsgate KZN. I did an online quote request and the owner Christo phoned me a day later. We discussed possible days of moving as my load would be a part load. We then arranged a day for him to come to the house and have a look at everything that would need to go on the truck.

All is in order and he sent me a quotation. The move was set for the 18th of January 2017. He never at any stage explained the process to me or give me any time frames. The 18th I waited for them to come and at around 2pm I had to phone HIM to find out what was going on and rudely he told me I am not the only one thats stuff needs to be loaded which is fair enough but I am your client and a courtesy call to let me know I would be the last to be loaded would have been appreciated.

Eventually the company arrives at 4pm. The small truck that showed up was empty? I spoke to the owners son and explained to him that I was a part load so why is the truck empty if you were loading the other person first. He then explained that they load here then go to their farm to load everything onto a big link truck and that my space in the truck is allocated and waiting. I expressed my concern and he reassured me that everything is in order.

Off the truck goes and arrives in Cape Town on Friday the 20th - again Christo had told me that our load will be the first in the morning, well the truck only got to the house at 4pm. There was a truck but not a big link truck as the son had told me AND my load was on a trailer at the back of the truck?

My husband was there to receive the load. As they were offloading he started taking pictures of everything that was damaged and it is safe to say that every single item was damaged. This is heartbreaking.

I will not pay him a further cent for this removal. What happened to my stuff from when it left my house? I had 2 witnesses that saw how everthing was carefully packed??
