MINI Bedfordview sold me a damaged car
I bought a new Mini Cooper from BMW Bedfordview at the end of June 2018, I took delivery of the car on a friday and three days after purchase (monday morning), the garage were informed that there was a problem with the car and that my new car also had scratches all over it. The car was taken to the garage to assess and it was confirmed that there was a problem. Two weeks later the car was booked in and has now spent almost 2 weeks getting repaired.
The garage informs me that the steering rack is faulty/defective and was going to be replaced. I enquired why it was faulty/defective (as they put) and how they could sell a damaged car and was told that according to BMW SA there was nothing wrong with the part and it was merely a courtesy to me the customer that it was getting replaced. This is despite the garage testing 4 identical cars and none of them had the same issue as mine. I must also point out that garage/dealer principle informs me that they have engaged with BMW SA around this issue and yet BMW SA have no recollection of it.
When addressing this with BMW SA, this has proven to be a no joy exercise too, the call centre agent Tebogo deliberately ignores your requests and questions and then just puts the phone down on you when he can't answer your questions...I am now waiting for the regional manage for this dealership to contact me so we can address the quality and calbre of their product, support staff and dealership....wonder how long this is going to take! My expectation is that my brand new car is replaced immediately with a non faulty/defective car and that justifiable reasons are supp**** why a faulty/deffective car was sold to me in the 1st place!
