Mindscape Education Homeschool Curriculum: A Complete Disappointment
I have never been more frustrated with a homeschool curriculum than I have been with Mindscape Education. From the confusing online portal to the unorganized structure, this program has been an absolute nightmare. The portal is practically useless — it’s difficult to navigate, and I’ve found it to be more of a hindrance than a help. The supposed "work" students are meant to complete simply doesn't line up with what’s in the exam papers, leaving us scrambling to figure out what needs to be studied.
The curriculum is poorly designed, with overrated requirements that don't seem to align with the learning goals. The exams are ridiculous — stretching over five weeks for a single term? That’s beyond excessive, and it just adds unnecessary stress for both students and parents. I can’t understand why anyone would think this is a reasonable way to assess progress.
I’ve used other programs in the past, and I can confidently say that Impaq is 10,000 times better. It’s far more user-friendly and organized, with clear expectations, and the materials actually match the exams. Honestly, I cannot wait for this school year to end so I can say goodbye to Mindscape for good.
In short: Do not recommend. If you’re considering this curriculum, save yourself the trouble and go with something that’s actually effective and easy to use.
