Worse conveyancers I ever experienced (and I've sold a few properties)

The service I received from these attorneys have been the worst I have ever experienced. And it was a very expensive lesson to boot. I received an offer on my property on Easter weekend of 2022. After the initial filling of forms and accepting of the offer, the transfer was handed over to Matsemela. The person that contacted me (on mail) was Sindy Geldenhuys (conveyancing secretary). Things were progressing very slow and when I phoned I could never get hold of Sindy. Sometimes they would say she is on a call and would phone back, but in the months that followed I never received a call from her. Instead I did receive several calls from Karien Visagie (Attorney). The first filing of the registration failed, and when I asked why, they told me that they lost the papers and could not find them. So we had to start over again. I was in the process of buying a business so I needed the money and it was becoming urgent that the registration went through. Karien phoned to say that they can organise me a bridging loan and because it was their fault that the registration failed (and the documents got lost), Matsemela would be paying the interest. I was going to go and loan from ABSA, but a interest free loan is more preferable. This was in July. Come December the transaction has still not been registered. There were a few more failed attempts. I was never informed of the problems and had to always phone Karien. On every call she assured me that I am still not paying interest on the bridging loan. Middle December 2022 the plot was finally registered in the new owner's name. But to my shock I did not receive any moneys. There was and amount of almost R15000 interest charged on the bridging loan. According to Sindy they never told me that there won't be interest. And of course, Karien left the business and there is now no record of the undertaking. Stay away from this company!
