Milpark Education Ignored Evidence & Mishandled My Exam Case

I am extremely disappointed with how Milpark Education has handled my case, and I want future students to see exactly what happened.

During my exam, I was repeatedly logged out due to system errors. The support chat was unresponsive, so I had to phone for help — even then, the issue persisted. I confirmed with Milpark that no updates were running on my laptop; the problem was on their side.

I initially asked only to finish my exam, NOT to defer it. But after escalating the matter, I was advised by Milpark’s own Senior Programme Manager to apply for a deferral — which I did.

The worst part? On the SAME day I submitted my appeal, Milpark sent me an SMS saying I had already been registered for the exam — without my consent.

Despite sending emails, chats, and screenshots showing exactly what happened, Milpark’s Academic Committee gave me a generic “final decision” that ignored my evidence and the SMS proving their mistake.

This is not just poor service — it’s a failure of accountability. Students trust Milpark with their education and their money, but in my case, they failed to act fairly, investigate properly, or take responsibility for their system errors.

📂 All the evidence — emails, screenshots, and proof — is here: 👉 https://url.za.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/7MDDCqj5MAcLMK76tZfPsEnN3C

Milpark still has a chance to do the right thing. Until then, I want every prospective student to see how this institution handles serious issues when their systems fail.

Dear Portia

Thank you for your recent communication regarding the outcome of your case.

Please be advised that the Academic Committee has thoroughly reviewed all relevant information and has reached a final decision. As per university policy, decisions made by the Academic Committee are not subject to further appeal unless new, significant evidence becomes available that was not previously considered.

We understand that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we appreciate the time and effort you have taken to present your concerns. If you would like support in understanding the decision or exploring your next steps, we are here to help.

Kind regards,
Milpark Education

Dear Milpark Education,

Thank you for your reply.

I must point out that your response does not address the key issue I raised. I am not disputing that the Academic Committee issued a decision — I am disputing how that decision was reached and the serious irregularities in how my case was handled.

Specifically:
  • I was advised by your Senior Programme Manager to submit an appeal, which I did.
  • On the very same day I app**** for the appeal, I received an SMS from Milpark stating I had already been registered without my consent.
  • I provided clear evidence, including emails, screenshots, and the SMS in question, via this link:

Your reply does not confirm whether this evidence was even reviewed. Instead, I received a generic “final decision” statement that ignores these facts. I am requesting a clear, written explanation of:
  • Who reviewed my evidence and when
  • Whether the SMS and email trail I submitted were considered
  • How Milpark justifies registering me without my consent

Until these points are answered, I cannot accept that my case has been properly reviewed. Kind regards,
Portia

Milpark Education registered me for a module without my consent, then **** in their appeal feedback claiming they only saw SMSs for my original modules. I have proof of the SMS they deny. They refuse accountability, dismissed my appeal, and now want me to pay for a module I never agreed to.

Dear Jodie,

I acknowledge receipt of your appeal outcome. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with both the process and conclusion, as my case was neither fairly reviewed nor addressed on its merits.

Your feedback states that the Academic Committee “only saw SMS notifications for my original modules”, yet I have provided clear proof of the SMS confirming the additional module registration — the same SMS your team now denies knowledge of. The existence of this SMS, which I never consented to or approved, directly contradicts your conclusion and is central to this dispute.

Despite submitting evidence, no one has taken accountability for the incorrect registration. Instead, I was sent from one department to another with no resolution, no ownership, and no clarity on who actioned the registration without my consent. My concerns were not meaningfully engaged with, and the decision given appears to rely on incomplete or selectively considered information. This makes it impossible for me to accept the claim that the matter was “thoroughly reviewed.”

To be clear:
  1. I did not request, approve, or consent to being registered for the additional module.
  2. I have proof that directly disputes the basis on which my appeal was dismissed.
  3. I was denied a fair process, as my evidence was not acknowledged or addressed.
  4. I cannot be held financially liable for an administrative error that originated within Milpark.
I am therefore requesting:
  • A reconsideration of this matter by an independent party who will review all evidence, including the SMS Milpark continues to deny.
  • A written explanation of who processed the registration and on what authority, in the absence of my consent.
  • Full removal of the disputed module and related charges, as I cannot be compelled to pay for a module I never agreed to.

I trust that Milpark, as an institution that upholds fairness and integrity, will rectify this matter instead of expecting a student to carry the cost of an internal error. I look forward to a formal written response and a fair resolution.

Kind regards,

Good day Rufqoh,

Thank you for your response.

I would like to formally place on record that I do not agree with the reasoning or conclusion communicated to me. The outcome is based on incorrect information and does not reflect the full context or evidence that I submitted.

1. Incorrect Record of My Registration
The communication states that I was never registered for the CPBI module. However, I submitted an SMS issued by Milpark showing a provisional registration initiated without my consent. This was dismissed without being meaningfully addressed. The existence of a provisional registration cannot be denied simply because it is inconvenient to the outcome.

2. Deferral Timeline Not Considered Fairly
While it is stated that my deferral was submitted “late,” it was not acknowledged that I repeatedly sought assistance and was passed from one department to another without support. Delays caused by Milpark cannot fairly be held against me, yet this was used as a basis to dismiss my appeal. That is procedurally unfair.

3. Evidence Not Addressed
My submission contained supporting documents, timelines, and communication records. However, the response did not engage with this evidence and instead repeated policy without addressing the substance of my appeal. A fair process requires consideration of all relevant information.
4. Inconsistent Application of Accountability
I am expected to comply with timelines, yet Milpark did not meet its own duty to provide assistance or prevent administrative errors. This selective application of rules is unjust and contradicts the principle of fairness.
I remain committed to resolving this matter internally and respectfully request:
  • A correction of the factual record relating to the registration and deferral timeline; and
  • A re-evaluation of the appeal by an independent party who will consider all evidence submitted.

I believe this is a reasonable request under the circumstances, and I trust that Milpark will act fairly to resolve the matter. I will appreciate a written response once this has been reviewed.

Kind regards,
Portia
