Refusal to Refund Fees for Medical Reasons

My 2 year old son has been going to Millennium Kids Montessori since April 2019. Since going to pre-school, every two weeks he is visiting the doctor due to infections which he picks up from pre-school.

After observing the situation his pediatrician has strongly suggested we remove him from the school for medical reasons. He is currently recovering from a severe viral infection which he pickedup from school.

As a parent, I called the school this morning to explain thhat we are taking him out of the school for medical reasons and request a refund for the month of August.

The owner Jeannette Engelbrecht, out right refused citing that we signed a contract that states that we must give them 30 days notice. She can't do it as then she will have to do it for everyone. Under normal circumstances this is understandable however these are extraordinary medical circumstances.

I am greatly dismayed by the inhumane treatment that my son and I have received from Millennium Kids Montessori in the name of profits.
