Millers Ferobrake failed to check gear box oil upon numerous requests resulting in a damaged gearbox.

I have a 2010 Renault Logan which I took to Millers Ferobrake based at 255, S Coast Rd, Rossburgh complaining of a noise from the gearbox.

On two separate occasions I took the vehicle to them requesting them to please check the gearbox oil as there was a persistent noise which was worsening and suspected there was no oil in the gearbox.

On one occasion the mechanic **** to the service consultant Nitesh and said he checked it by looking under the vehicle for 20 seconds. I don't know how he checked the gearbox oil without even lifting a spanner. Three weeks later a family trip was cut short as the noise got so severe, I had to get my vehicle towed home unable to drive it.

On arrival at Millers Ferobrake the following day they informed me the gearbox has no oil as it drained through the CV joint and it will cost R3000 which I paid as I had only one vehicle.

The Renault to date has a continuous grinding sound from the gearbox which will cost about R5000 (another nearby mechanic dealer) due to no oil in the gearbox.

I do not know what to do and what way forward now as some time has passed and I would like to report Millers Ferobrake neglect.

Had they checked my vehicle gearbox oil as requested I would not be sitting in this dilemma of now finding the money to do the necessary repairs to the gearbox synchros.
