Stay away from Milky Lane

I had a very bad experience at your Table Bay branch due to bad service and bad attitude. I have been there 15:43 today, Sunday, 14 November. The ladies taking the orders and serving customers are acting like they are doing everyone a favor. One of the ladies did not wear her mask while she was assisting the other with my order and she kept on having conversations over my ice cream. The same lady who did not wear a mask was rude behind a customers back. The gentleman ordered and took a seat while he waited. When she completed his order, she stated to her other colleague that she is definitely not taking it to him and without calling him just leaned over the counter with an attitude. She also continued to attend to 2 ladies’ order who ordered after me.

I ordered a carnival in a tub, 2x sugar cones - one with chocolate dip and one with caramel dip. The lady rang up a small tub with chocolate dip (instead of a carnival). The chocolate dip was not right, so she handed me an ice cream that didn’t even look like clown. After she saw my expression she told me that she can’t use the chocolate dip as it doesn’t stick nicely to the ice cream. I told her that it’s ok, she can give me a refund. Her colleague then went to fetch another chocolate sauce that was actually perfectly fine. This is laziness as she probably thought that the least effort to just tell me it’s not right and then realised it’s even more effort trying to refund me. The lady that went to fetch the new chocolate sauce used her bare hand to wipe the side of the tub after decanting it into the steel tub. Absolutely disgusting.

They don’t follow covid protocol and The lady who handles the cash does not sAnitise her hands before she prepares customers’ orders.

I’ll never support you again as I left irritated and was not even in the mood to eat the ice cream. I got home and threw it away.

I’ve sent an email to *** but it returned undelivered. I also could not manage to successfully submit a complaint via your website.
