EPIC FAIL !

Two weeks before my husband 70th. Birthday I ordered a large ice cream cake from Milky Lane . I called one wk. before collection to confirm the order. I was scheduled to collect said cake at 10.30 am ,on day of order , however I received a phone call asking if I would accept a smaller cake as there was not sufficient time for them to decorate the large one ( try doing it the day before? ) . I insisted on my original order ,so was told that we would have to collect it later. Which we had no option but to agree to . ( most inconvenient)

When the cake finally arrived , it was not decorated in the pattern I had chosen and the printing of the birthday message on top was all cracked and blurred ( most dissatisfied) . To add insult to injury, I was informed by my family member that they had charged R 510.oo instead of the R 499.oo that I had been quoted. I have taken pictures of the sub standard cake .

This really spoilt what should have been a lovely 70th Birthday and caused much distress. I will NEVER trust Milky Lane with any special event in our lives again and will never encourage others to do so either.

Thank you Milky Lane for your prompt response . I have been called by the Area Manager who has very kindly offered to make reparations for my inconvenience . It is gratifying to know that there are still businesses who take ' customer service ' seriously.

Thank you from a satisfied customer .
