Poor Quality of Milex Nutri Bullet

Hi, i purchased a Milex Nutri Bullet about a month ago. As we began to use this product, we notice a plastic smell. We though since it was new it was probably normal. Yesterday morning (25 November) the product refused to work. We noticed the wheel that turns the blades had warned down. I was really disappointed as this was a 1200 watt Nutri Bullet. Is this product of such inferior quality that it just breaks like that?
