Formal Complaint Against MiLaw and Wela Legal for Failure to Clear My Name from Debt Review

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against MiLaw and Wela Legal, who I entrusted with assisting me in being removed from debt review. Unfortunately, despite numerous promises and nearly a year of ongoing communication, my name has still not been cleared. and they have already received they payment in full

From the beginning, MiLaw and Wela Legal assured me of a swift and professional process. However, their service has been riddled with delays, poor communication, and what appears to be a complete lack of urgency or accountability.

Some key issues I would like to highlight:

Excessive Delays: It has been close to a full year since I began the process, and there has been no resolution.

Lack of Communication & Follow-Through: I was repeatedly promised that the necessary documents, including the signed Power of Attorney, would be submitted to the debt counsellor — yet there is no confirmation this was done.

Negligence in Handling My Case: Whenever I follow up, I am met with excuses, such as agents being on leave. This is unacceptable and shows a clear lack of prioritisation of my case.

I feel misled and ignored by both MiLaw and Wela Legal. Their failure to act is not only harming my financial standing but also causing emotional distress.

I am therefore requesting the NCR to investigate this matter, hold MiLaw and Wela Legal accountable for their conduct, and assist in ensuring that my name is urgently removed from debt review.

I have retained records of my correspondence and will gladly provide them upon request.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust the NCR will take this seriously and provide the support needed to resolve this issue.
