Old debt still reflect against my name

This account is surely 19 years against my name. No amount is outstanding, however it reflect negative against my name. 19 year's ago. How does the system work. Can we get this sorted please. I need to receive a clearance letter and they must remove my name from the credit beurea. Many thanks
