No cash refund, how convenient!

On the 11/11/2015 I returned an item I had purchased via lay bye. I had the proof of payment but I was told that I cannot get the cash refund because the \system"was dictacting that I should receive a gift voucher instead albeit returning the item before the 28 day stipulated period. I asked to see my lay bye contract so that I can see where that rule was written as I usually make it a point of reading the fine print. It's not on the contract nor is it at the back of the till slip. I would like my cash refund and not be forced by miladys to come and spend my hard earned money with them even though I do not feel like it. I rather shop at the chinese shops because they have big signage of no cash refund not word of mouth. """
