Miladys account - unauthorised ITC check done

Miladys conducted an ITC check on 8 June 2021 in respect of a new credit application. The application was not finalised despite several follow-ups between 8 June 2021 and 17 June 2021 from my side.

On 17 June 2021, I’ve eventually got hold of the lady attending to the new application. The only outstanding requirement was to confirm my employment details. Shortly after I spoke to her and she confirmed the employment details, the account was approved. However, another ITC check was conducted without my authorisation and approval. There was no need for Miladys to conduct another ITC check, since the ITC check done on the 8th June 2021, was still active and valid. The fact that an unnecessary credit check was conducted, had a detrimental impact on my credit profile and credit scoring.

Could I please understand why the additional ITC enquiry was conducted and what remedial actions you’re going to take to rectify the situation.
