Legal Action for unknown balance 15+ years later

I paid up my Miladys acc a few years ago.When enquired, I was told it was the outstanding balance of my 1st Milady's account of more 15 years ago.<br> The assistant at Miladys in Canal Walk was very helpful and i must say professional in manner and tried to enquire.<br> After given another number***) Credit Solutions, she got a prompt to leave a name and number which i did. I still did not hear from Milady's.<br> Why did they not pick up years ago when i was granted the 2nd account that there was a 1st account not paid up.<br> Why now after a few years that the 2nd account was paid , I got a legal sms notice for the 1st more than 15 years acc. This is now preventing me from opening a mr, price account or milady's account.<br> <br> I was not aware of the more than 15 year old balance of R600.
