Know your price rights!!
I was at the Greytown branch today and was absolutely shocked by what I experienced.
I picked up a few tops on the sales rack and was happy I found some items in my size on sale. Being the penny pincher I am, I made sure to check the price tags and see what kind of "special" I was indeed getting. To my horror, one top was originally marked as R199 and low and behold, the sale sticker said "was" R229, 'Now" R219. I thought it very strange that the so called "sale" price was R20 more than the original price when the item went to shelf. I queried this with the manager of the shop, and she took the top and scanned it. I carried on looking around the store and when i went to hear what the explanation was, I was told that before the item went on sale, there was a price adjustment, ie, an increase. I was so disgusted by this, that I actually put all the items down and walked out the store. Another thing to add, is that 90% of the sale items original price tags have the original price cut off. This is *******!!!! The consumer is being ****** blind when this happens, as we don't know what the original price actually was, and what kind of sale we are getting.
NB. I am a plus size lady, and Miladys is the only store in Greytown that I can actually get decent clothing from, without having to travel an hour or more. I am very disappointed with the store and staff. They are so unfriendly and not one of them had a mask on!!!
Kind Regards,
