Don't waste your money at Mikes Kitchen Wonderpark

On Feb 27th 2015, I went out to go buy supper with my partner. We drove to Wonderpark, Pretoria North, only to find Nandos having a long queue and opted to try Mike's Kitchen (waiters poach you as you walk past! Not what fine dining is about if that's your strategy). They had an obsolete and cluttered Valentine decoration hanging from all corners...bear in mind V-day passed 14th Feb. Ordered food, only to find their kitchen didn't have all the ingredients...like chicken of all things! Waiter (trainee enjoying her bubble gum and giggling the whole time) and chef recommended their Fish. Didn't realise you were going to pour, not serve, tomato and onion gravy on the fish! And oh, the music?? Loud Kwaito music on a Friday with bright, sporadic V-day decorations!? Not what most assume to be romantic. Nutshell: Welcomed by hustlers for business, not waiters! Poor bubble-gum service! Pathetic store look and feel! Basic-cooked meal with no Chef touch! Music to kill any mood! Should've waited in the rain and bought my Nandos 1/2 Chicken! R200 wasted. You have a great spot, use it and make changes to attract business Please!
