COVID 19 PROTOCOLS NOT ADHERED TO AT MIKE'S KITCHEN UMHLANGA
I visited Mike's Kitchen Umhlanga on the 7th of February 2021 at 7:35pm. I called in and placed an order for 4 X double fish chips special which was R55 each. Upon my arrival to collect my food, there was no one at the door to sanitizer my hands or even check my temperature. I walked into the restaurant requesting to collect my order and pay. The employee that assisted me with my order had no face mask on. The employee also had a pen in his mouth which he was using to sign documents. This is disgusting!! We are in covid 19! My eyes immediately glanced into the kitchen as you openly see the kitchen when you enter the resturant. No staff in the kitchen had a face mask on, I was absolutely shocked!! One employee was mopping the floor and the other employee was preparing my food in the same area. I think the manager was in the kitchen and he also did not have a face mask on. Eventually we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for our food because it was not done upon our arrival. When the ' manager' walks out of the kitchen with our food then he puts his face mask on. I was so shocked to see that NO EMPLOYEES was wearing a face mask! Where is the pre-cautions to ensure your customers safety?! I got home hesitate to eat the food but I did eat the food and the next morning I threw up and had dirrahea. It was a horrible experience and sadly I will not return to Mike's Kitchen. People are dying and resturants are not taking the correct measures to safe guard their customers!! Please view the video footage at Mike's Kitchen Umhlanga and you will notice how the employees do not adhere to covid 19 protocols. I am fully for supporting resturants during covid 19 but after my horrid experience it makes me think what actually goes on behind the scenes, there is so much that we cannot see.
