Bad Management and overall Disappointing

On 27 April 2018, we were shopping at Eastgate, were hungry and went to the food court. Hubby saw Mike's and said lets give it a bash. Many many years since we've eaten at a Mike's which used to be a SA institution. We were there before 12:00. Two problems: 1. I wanted to order the jawbreaker burger - the waitress told me "sorry no burgers we are waiting for delivery". This I find unacceptable. You are a grill house which means burgers and steaks are your bread and butter. It is the 26th of the month therefore After payday AND A long weekend and you cannot serve me a burger. This smacks of bad management and lack of planning on your part. Not having all menu items available is just Not On. Eating out is a luxury and we expect to at least be able to eat what we want. 2. Grudgingly as a second option I ordered the chicken schnitzel pizzaiola. - description on menu - chicken schnitzel topped with tomato salsa, olives, mushrooms, cheesy sauce and sprinkled with grated cheese - schnitzel came and had a relish type sauce on top with some melted cheese - I enquired as to where the "cheesy sauce" was as I couldn't see any. They took it away and brought back another with a whole lot more of the relish and still No cheesy sauce. When I ate it there was something strong in there.- I don't see any chilli etc. listed in the description. Anyhow sc****d most of it off and ate the meal. The waitress was fine and the other 2 dishes - starters – mozzarella mushrooms and snails were really tasty. Note: Their prices are NOT cheap. This complaint sent Eastgate Mike’s and Head Office. Restaurant no response. Head Office jumped fairly quickly and gave a whole lot of explanations and said branch has problems and they will fix and in a few weeks they will contact us with vouchers. Almost a month later And nothing! Bye Mikes. Just not worth it.
