Apparently our hair is cooked with the meat.
This was at Mikes Kitchen Makhado Crossing. Normally the service is a bit slow there, but we've gotten used to it by now. Last night we had quite quick service when we went in. Until management demamded more people on their table. That's when our service started slowing down. We received our food and unfortunately my boyfriend found a hair in his. He threw it away, brushing it off. When we found the second hair entwined in the meat, i couldn't keep quiet anymore. We waited for a while for our waitron, but didn't see him, so i had to call someone who happened to walk past. I showed him the hair with the piece of meat still attached, he apologised and removed the plate. A lady then came to apologise, told use that the hair could not come from the kitchen, because they all where hair nets. So i guess it was our hair entwined in the meat. I said she might want to check with her supplier, but she insisted that the hair was not theirs. My boyfriend, growing more hungry as the conversation carried on, eventually said that he just wants to eat. So the same piece of meat was brought back with new sides.
I asked if we could have some dessert as compensation for our trouble, but was flatly refused. It's not even about the free dessert, we don't mind paying. It's just purely about the fact that we said there was a problem and they refused to take responsibility for it. It might be a longwhile before they see us again.
