A Fresh New Look with Classic Hospitality - Montana Mike's Kitchen Delivers

As someone who's seen the evolution of many franchise restaurants in South Africa over the past 30 years, I know every new opening comes with its fair share of challenges.

It's normal to experience teething problems—staff training, system adjustments, and navigating the demands of 100+ hungry guests can certainly bring some hiccups.

However, Mike's Kitchen in Montana has certainly embraced these early days, only about 4 weeks ago with grace and enthusiasm.

Having grown up with Mike's Kitchen, I can confidently say their new look is a far cry from the fami**** spot I knew years ago.

The fresh new look is stylish and inviting, with an atmosphere that exudes warmth and a lively vibe. It's the kind of restaurant where you feel welcome the moment you step in.

My visit to Mike's Kitchen last week was prompted by an equally great experience I had the previous week when I had a business meeting there.

The food was quite simply, delicious. And they have affordable specials running during the week.

I also have to commend the staff. Every interaction was friendly and efficient, with waiters ready to attend to your every need. It's clear they've been trained to ensure a pleasant eating experience, and it makes all the difference.

A nice surprise was signing up for their Loyalty Card, which came with an instant reward of R150—a great incentive to keep coming back.

On top of that, their Saturday Buffet Breakfast, especially priced at R99 for guests over 55, was a real treat. Today I decided to try it out, and I’m so glad I did.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the chicken livers, in particular, were a standout for me - rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. That's not all, with Coffee and fruit juice included makes it an even better experience and value for money....

With a Buffet Lunch on Sundays that promises a similarly satisfying experience, it's safe to say I’ll be returning to Mike’s Kitchen again soon.
