24000 BTU Jet Air Aircinditioner
I have bought a 24000 Btu Jet Air system from them and they were on time for the installation on Wednesday 2018/01/17. the installation looked very neat and I was very impressed. the installers left my house before the electrician got there. after the electrician was there and all the cables was ran and the system was up and running i started figuring out the remote and set everything as the manual said i should.
i then started noticing that the aircon isn't getting cool and i feels like a big expensive fan that we just bought.
i tried calling the cell phone number that is on their website, the number i have been using since day 1 that i was dealing with them but no answer.
the aircon didnt get any cooler at all.
so i went on the internet and got a number of a accredited installer in my area and he came out. (had to pay call out fee etc)
these are the issues that he found, showed me and repaired.
1. No gas in the compressor. Had to pay R800.00 for R410 gas. 2. Compressors copper pipe going into the house is kinked, bended and rolled up. 3. Compressors couplings were leaking ( gas was dripping from it) 4. The isolator isn’t working. You can switch it on or off the machine stays on. 5. Second hand breaker has been installed at the db board as the “new” one they bought wasn’t working?
the accredited installer sorted out all the problems, took him about 2 hours to re gas the system and to bleed it as the compressor ran for about an hour with out gas...
he then sorted out the pipes and electrical issues.
he then switched it on and set the setting to exactly what i had it on and the aircon was working 100%.
I'm not someone to complain on website etc but in these days that we live in you don't get customer service anymore. if he just answered the phone and apologized and made arrangements with me for this morning there would have been no problem. normally when people ignore calls from customers their service is bad so that's why I'm giving them a 0!
Dear Henry,
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Our business hours are from 8am to 4.30pm and the call made was at 7pm and no one could have possibly answered your call unfortunately but please be assured that we would have come back today and fix the problem had this been received/seen by any our agent this morning.
Regarding the installation, the installer reports the following:
· The outdoor unit had to be installed on top of a dog kennel and he therefore could not cut the pipe at the flexible section of it to flair because of the length required and please note that these are brand new copper pipes and they are flexible.
· Regarding the “no gas in the compressor” – there is a possibility of gas leak at any installation but no leak can ever empty the whole compressor, in fact some air con can run for an entire 2 months on a leak. But the installer had checked and run tests for leaks prior to this and all were negative.
· The isolator could have developed a fault after installation it’s feasible but we have a certified electrician and he confirmed that the first one provided did not work –“he tested” and therefore replaced it and a newly purchased one. And as mentioned, we would have been more than happy to come back and sort this out because we offer a 1 year guarantee on the installation and this is policy to keep our customers happy.
The air con was tested and left in working condition with personnel at your premises.
Please note that we offer a 1 year guarantee on our installation and this covers all technical issues should any arise.
The warranty provided on the aircon is also subject to a maintenance and service policy as stated by suppliers and on all quotation/invoice emails sent (T&Cs).
All claims are therefore processed through the original dealer.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused but as stated, we would have been more than happy to sort this out.
We sincerely apologize for the “bad” experience you had but this does not reflect our way of work.
Sincerely,
The Mikah-Air Team
