Shattered Oven

<p>Glassplate covering our oven shattered for no apparent reason on 18 October 2016 - glass flying everywhere, cutting my feet. </p> <p>Contacted Miele on the 19th, had to call back day after day to get some feedback at least.</p> <p>No interest in the story even though if I was Miele I would be seriously looking at this because it could be a design flaw with potential serious consequences - what would have happened if my 3 year old was standing next to me?</p> <p>After hounding Miele, they eventially said product is out of warrantee as it is 3 years old and it will cost R4000 to replace. According to them this is our only option apart from replacing the oven. </p> <p>Apart from the terrible service we received, I am seriously disappointed in Miele as I would have thought that a company of this magnitude should take note of something as serious as this. However, it appears that the only thing they are serious about is taking your money. The rest would be the medical aid's problem as far as I can gather.</p>
