Bad services
I am a Pearson Institute of higher education student, one who's worried about the way we've been treated and the decisions they make. Right now, we have been given the go ahead by the government to return to campus for face to face lectures but we just found out that no one will be returning to campus for lectures and will all continue with online classes. My main concern is the fact that not every learner is privileged enough to be able to access the online classes, assessments and all. Pearson does not in any way help their students with data or laptops or anything to assist their students in continuing their online lessons. I'm concerned about final year students who are unable to constantly log on to online classes or platforms. How are they expected to pass and graduate on time just like other students ? They are treating people unfairly, with the assumption that every Pearson student can afford. Other households are unfriendly for learning but yet students are not allowed back on campuses or residences. All they do is to call every single day regarding the outstanding fees, expecting our sponsors to pay close to R100 000 for fees just for online learning when it was not even part of the agreement. I hope they do reconsider their decisions and accommodate everyone and stick to the terms of their contracts, the contracts that we read and signed.
I'm very disappointed on the services given to us. O for one thought that a private institution will have the greatest benefits since we pay a lot of money and considering the fact that we are very few in classes, I was hoping we would be the first people to go back to classes and resume as normal.
