TOLD BY MIDAS KROONSTAD TO MODIFY MY CAR OR PUT FOLDED BOXES TO MAKE A WRONG BATTERY THAT THEY SOLD TO ME FIT MY VEHICLE

On the 14th of April 2025 I bought a car battery at MIDAS Kroonstad. I was helped by a gentleman Thabo Lebelo who works there. He asked for a vin number to be able to help me to get the correct battery.We went to the car together and he got the VIN and also took out the old battery from the car. He sold me a battery telling me its the correct one and even fit it in. I have been driving the car since without any indication that there is something wrong with the battery. On the13th of August 2025 my car started indicating that theres something wrong with the battery. I went to a nearby dealership just to get the car checked as I thought maybe it was just the terminals that were loose. Upon checking they realised that the battery is loose and doesnt fit in a bracket fitted to a car to keep the battery stable. And they suggested that I go back to MIDAS KROONSTAD where I bought it. Upon my arrival at Midas I asked for the gentleman who helped me when i was buying that battery and I explained to him my problem. He said the battery that they gave to me is correct according to their system. And they wont change it for me though it is still under guarantee and he suggested that I fold boxes and put them in to block the battery from moving. I told him I cant do that and ask for their manager. I was told their manager was not there but the assistant manager JOHN VELAPHI will come to help me. He came and said the problem might be that the brand that they sold to me doesnt have the clamps to fit into the bracket, but the battery is the right size He suggested I change the bracket or buy a new battery with a different brand. They even brought that other brand it to show the diffence, but still confirmed that they cant change the battery for me. He even told me that its not their duty and they are not even trained to put in batteries they are just doing us favour by helping us put them in. I told him that nobody told me that they sell batteries and doesnt fit them, I thought I was being helped by people who have expertise. Then he said he is sorry that his employee didnt check if that battery fits but theres nothing he can do to help. The only options I have is putting in boxes, buying a new battery that he brought for me to see or modify my car and put in a new bracket to fit their battery. Now Im stuck with a loose battery that is still under guarantee but cant be changed.
