Terrible Midas

Hi We bought a generator from Midas (Rustenburg) yesterday 11 January and the salesperson told us it would run a fridge, fan and TV. When we got home the generator would not even run a small TV. We tried many times but it ran and then cut out. Today I phoned Midas and everyone has some excuse as to why it cannot be returned. They said it must be sent in for repairs, but we bought it brand new out of the box, it didn't work that same day, so why must it be sent in? We want our money back so we can buy another one that works. I can understand if it gave trouble a week or so later, but that very same day? I also spoke to a salesperson there who **** to me, told me he was the manager but in fact he is just a normal sales person and then he got arrogant with me. I am not happy at all and will avoid this shop like a plague. We want our money back, R2000 is not small change.
