Sold me an old car battery as new - didn't care when I pointed it out

<p>Midas sold me a car battery that went flat within 11 months with a dead cell. When I looked at the battery, it never should have been sold to me. At purchase it was 8 months out of date. No wonder it broke so quickly. <br /><br />I've now learnt that car batteries have a rotation date. If they sit too long in the shop they need to be returned. My battery had a sticker saying 'rotate by April 2015'. I bought this battery from Midas, Fourways Crossing in Jan 2016! <br /><br />When I complained, they replaced my battery (Willards have a two year warranty) but didn't care that I had been sold a dud and had my car breakdown. <br /><br />I wrote to head office but as yet they haven't been bothered to respond. <br /><br />Do not buy your car batteries here. If you have to, check the rotation date before you buy! </p>
