Slammed door in my face to close early!!

I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of service and the treatment I received from West End Midas yesterday afternoon. On google the business hours are until 17:30. On the way home my vehicle’s headlights went out and since I leave for work in the morning at 5am when it is still dark this was a huge problem.

I stopped at this store at 17:23. The door was still open. When I picked up my purse and got out of the car literally 20 seconds later the person inside started closing the door. There was a black gentleman outside who tried to let the person inside assist me, but the indian man inside shouted at him and slammed the door. There was a younger indian man sitting on a post outside the door. Told me that they are closed. I told him that they are supposed to close at 17:30. He snarkily told me it is 17:30 – to which I responded that it is 17:25 not 17:30. He clicked his tongue at me and stomped away.

So now I am highly annoyed and can’t use my car to get to work. An uber trip from Pretoria to Bryanston is R380 one way. So this store’s attitude has effectively cost me R 760 today.

I will never visit another midas store again and make sure that everyone knows about what happened because that is not an acceptable way to treat a customer. I would rather pay more at autozone than spend another cent at Midas. I mean It cost me R760 in a day already and I have nothing to show for it
