Shoddy service

Sometime back I bought a Midas Jump start which now requires a new battery. I phoned quite a few branches here in Cape Town only to be told they dont stock replacement batteries. The lady who works for the Goodwood Midas here in Cape town was an absolute star. I was given the number of Midas head office *** to see if they could elaborate why I cannot get a eplacement battery at any of the midas stores. Now my question is how do you sell something that is still in working condition only to be told it would be cheaper to buy a new unit than to replace the battery. So now according to them I must dump a pefectly good device which just needs a battery. Now my question Why sell something that when its battery eventually will not charge anymore its cheaper to buy a new unit due to the cost of a replacement batttery if obtainable would cost an arm and a leg. This doesnt make sense. If thats the case stop selling an item with a battery life of maximum five years for which you cannot obatin a replacement battery at a reasonable cost. Totally disgusted with Midas
