No Concern for Customer's experience post sale
My husband Kurt Williams recently purchased some oil for his VW Caddy from Midas in Goldman Street, Florida. He had just paid R7000 for a turbo replacement in the vehicle. Two days later the turbo was damaged and the report came that the oil he has used is contaminated and that is what caused the damage. The repair costs for the damage caused is now R4000.
Naturally my husband went back to Midas and informed the shop attendant of the problem. The shop assistant felt the oil and agreed that he could feel something in it – but then said his manager is in meetings and they would get back to him. To date, there has been no contact made – in the interim this company vehicle is standing waiting for some resolution. How does a customer get Midas to feel for their experience or to take note when something like this happens? How many other customers may have purchased contaminated oil? What is the resolution for such a thing? We would like someone to please assist in the matter as it will not simply go away.
We have receipts for purchase as well as half a bottle of the said oil as well. Your urgent attention will be highly appreciated.
Good Day,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
The matter will be investigated and we will revert back to you.
Kind regards,
Midas Team
