Midas: The Customer is KING

Went through to Super Discount Midas (Verulam) just to buy a pint of oil. Product is on the shelf..no prices. Went to the cashier, i was then told a sales assistant has to scan it. Went to a few busy cashiers finally had it scanned, then followed another queue to pay. Went to my vehicle to top up oil, and the security guard tells me im not allowed to top up oil here i mustnt do it again. So i told him to fly a kite. He said "eh?" So i told him to work out the square root of pie and add 45. He said hes not hungry and walked away.

My point is the ffg: 1) All products on shelves should be price marked and loaded onto your system in a one step process. It makes no sense for customers to go and pick an off the shelf item, then go to have a salesman scan it, then follow a queue to pay. This causes anger from those who are standing in queue for the salesman, and wastes our time, and the salespersons time. When the store initially opened we as customers thought these issues were teething issues and would be resolved. Please resolve it.

2) We have supported this store from the days of it being run from a small store with less than an arms length to manoevre for customers during busy hours. Today, they have progressed to bigger premises and we appreciate and applaud that. I dont need now to be told i cant even top up my oil in your parking lot like im an epileptic fit statistic who cant aim for the oil filler hole. Its a different scenario if i was draining my cars oil onto your paving, or changing a cylinder head in your parking, that i understand is laughable. Mention must be made that the salespersons are always helpful though.

I am making this a formal post as it is a message for ALL midas franchises. There must be uniformity in how you handle the franchise in terms of software and processing sales. And most of all, customer acknowledgement from the time we enter to the time we leave that parking lot.

pricing issue sorted according to feedback. i acknowledge the reasoning behind the topping of oil in parking lot restriction. Thanks
