MIDAS prices not competitive at Durban North

One would have thought that MIDAS , a franchised organisation would be competitive in terms of its pricing . Clearly not so as I have found out a few days ago . I purchased a 5LHelix motor oil and paid R239 . When I went into another motor spares outlet in Springfield Park. (GOLD WAGON) , the very same item was priced at R187, a difference of R52 or R27.81% . Another item eg a Victor Ryan sealer , priced at Midas for R80 , selling in shops in Durban for R60, a difference of R20 or 33% . Clearly Midas marketing needs to catch a wake up . I took the matter with the manager /owner of the store , and as usual he didn't advance any cogent reasons , but very condescending in his approach mentioning inter that clients from Ballito purchase oil from his store, Midas needs to take their franchise stores , seriously , Clearly from where the Client sits , this is not being done . Their managers/owners of these stores must be trained on how to answer queries from customers . Merely telling their clients to buy where u think is cheap is not a smart marketing strategy .
