Lawlessness at Mohameds Midas in Newcastle

On the 16th March 2018 i went and purchased a LUK service kit for a VW Citi golf at Mohameds Midas in Newcastle.On the following day i took the kit back for a refund as i no longer needed the kit.But to my surprise i was told they do not offer refunds but instead i was to be offered a voucher to use within the store for an amount equal to my refund.I find this improper and inconsistent with the application of the CPA as i would have expected maybe to be charged a reasonable handling fee.These guys are in contravention of law and proudly display their contempt of the act by including this no refund policy on their slips.

The attitude of the manager was appalling , unprofessional and borderline ****gish.The guy refused to give me his name and came up with all manner of excuses why they couldn't refund me my money.

I think it is regrettable that a well established company like Midas would allow a franchise license holder to operate his store like a ****ashop
