Empty promises of life time warranty.

<p>My husband and I buy the Midas brand tools because they have a lifetime warranty on them. So he bought a rachet with sockets that cost about R700. Using the tool everyday for a few hours a day to remove roofing, the rubber on the handle has come off so the tool is well used. So while loosening a tough ***** the tool broke on the part where the socket connects to. No problem right? It has a warranty. </p> <p> </p> <p>Well that is not the case. Midas has refused to exchange or repair it saying that because it was used it was man handled. The tool should not have broken regardless of id the rubber has come off while being used. It shouldn't matter if the tool is 8 days, 8 months or 8 years old. Life time warrenty says that the tool will be repaired or replaced if it breaks. I am disgusted that companies sell stuff with a warranty if they are not willing to back that promise. </p>
