Windows Open, But Nobody Home

After a recent software update, my Windows 10 license key became deactivated, apparently a common issue. I can't afford to sit on the phone all day with people who don't want to listen and understand. All I need is help fixing THEIR error that's stopping me from working. I need an email with instructions on how to deal with this. There are no activation options in the activation window. How does that even work?
