Pinpoint may be safe but may be hackers

A person phoned out of the blue and claims Microsoft crash reports require them to correct errors on my wife's computer. I complained that I ONLY deal with computer issues by email or paper, but they convinced me that they are from Microsoft.<br> <br> Later they mentioned that they are NOT from microsoft but work for microsoft.<br> <br> Whatever their crudentials: this is too good to be true and thus probably a **** and they may be spying for bank or other details---especially if they claim they phone from new York USA. People need to be protected against computer specialists that contact one unannounced out of the blue.
