Microsoft Office Refund

I bought Microsoft Office last year and used all of the apps within the package. My laptop was damaged this year and I moved to a new company which provided me with a new laptop and a new Microsoft Office. Therefore I have no use of my old Microsoft Office.

Last Month my old Microsoft Office renewed (I totally forgot about it) and I had R1009 come off my account, so I contacted Microsoft to tell them that I forgot that it would renew, I won't be using the software and would like a refund.

Not only does their website state that refunds are not permitted but there is no one I can actually speak to to resolve this. I have basically been told that even though Microsoft didn't notify me before the billing and regardless of weather or not I even make use of the product they will not refund me.

So basically one of the biggest companies in the World refuses to refund customers for products that they accidentally purchased and cannot use. Nice.

I can see why some people resort to pirated software or move to Apple, since Microsoft won't help their customers in any way.
