Microsoft for mac

I have bought Office 2016 Home and Student for Mac. I registered the product and downloaded the install file as instructed on the microsoft web page. Problem is their install file will not install. The install Wizard says : "The installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install".

I contacted microsoft and they said they will try to fix it. What I'm really upset about is paying A LOT of money for a product that does not work and that seems to be an issue from August.
